A Pooch Affair: Doggy Day Out

HerCanberra Team

Territory Venues has announced the official charity partner for its inaugural dog event, A Pooch Affair, to be held on Saturday 18 July at Exhibition Park.

Liz Clarke, General Manager, Territory Venues said, “I am extremely pleased to announce that the RSPCA ACT will be the Official Charity Partner, for A Pooch Affair.

“The partnership will provide a fundraising opportunity for such a worthy organisation close to the hearts of the Canberra community that works tirelessly in animal welfare.

“There is much synergy between our two organisations and it is pleasing to have the RSPCA ACT on board. The gold coin donations for dogs attending A Pooch Affair will be given to the RSPCA ACT to assist their continued good work.”

The RSPCA ACT will be hosting a Come and Try area where attendees can take their dogs through an agility course. They will also have an information stand about their services and pet adoption as well as merchandise available for purchase.

A Pooch Affair promises to deliver a boutique indoor event featuring unique dining experiences, entertainment, information sessions and demonstrations, pampering and retail opportunities for both humans and their dogs.

An indoor café allows people to dine with their dog with special treats from the Doggie Diner while enjoying a break from all the activities. An elegant High Tea with Dogs is on offer for those wishing to dine with their pup in style.

“We are currently seeking interest from businesses and not-for-profit and community groups wishing to raise awareness about services relating to dogs available to the Canberra community. Feedback has been very positive and we encourage people to get behind the event.” said Ms Clarke.
