Lucky’s is hosting a James Bond New Year’s Eve Party for anyone who prefers their martini shaken, not stirred.

With a martini provided on arrival and prizes being awarded for the Best Bond, Best Villain, Best Henchman, Best Good Girl and Best Bad Girl outfits, this New Year’s Eve could be dangerously good.

Tickets also include a drinks package, canapés, DJ and entertainment throughout the night.

The Albert Hall is putting on the Ritz! At the Black Tie Masquerade Ball, Canberra Pianist Robbie Mann and the Canberra Pops Orchestra will be playing a combination of audience favourites from classic pop music, movie themes and Viennese waltzes.

The Glitz and Glamour New Year’s Eve Party at the Hellenic Club is a fundraiser for The Cancer Support Group who assist locals struggling with the financial stress of cancer.

SOUTHERN CROSS CRUISES

FAMILY FUN 

NYE IN THE CITY 

New Year’s Eve in Canberra City is a popular night for all ages with a free live concert, dance party and over 1500 fireworks! There will be a family friendly rock concert before the 9pm fireworks, with the act to be announced late December. At 9pm Bass in the Place starts and is expected to finish around 1am. This will also be the last chance to check out the SIDS & Kids ACT Christmas Lights in the City then that has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the largest LED light image display in the world. This event is alcohol free.

A QUIET NIGHT OUT

GALA PREVIEW OF CAROL AT PALACE ELECTRIC 

If all you want to do is lie on the couch on New Year’s Eve, maybe you’d rather the comfy seats of the Palace Electric Cinemas. Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) spots the beautiful, elegant Carol (Cate Blanchett) perusing the doll displays in a 1950s Manhattan department store.

The two women develop a fast bond that becomes a love with complicated consequences. All attendees will receive a glass of Brown Brother’s Prosecco on arrival and a free ticket to see Brooklyn, which will be released in February.
