Canberra women, Julie Okely and Kylie Travershave been nominated for the 2015 St George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards. Both Kylie and Julie were named by HerCanberra as two of our 15 Women to Watch in January.

The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The AusMumpreneur Network celebrate and recognise Australian Mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation. The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

Julie Okely has over 25 years of experience in the Hair, Beauty, Fashion and Education. Now with Dilkara Essence of Australia, Julie is able to deliver quality, personal and professional services to a vast range of clients, both corporate and mainstream. Dilkara means Rainbow in Aboriginal and the range’s ingredients have been sourced from local Indigenous communities. You can read Julie’s story here.

Kylie Travers has personally experienced domestic violence and homelessness which has resulted in her dedicating her time, money and resources to helping end both domestic violence and homelessness. Her company, Occasio Enterprises helps raise awareness an funds for homeless and domestic violence services through the sites it owns and represents. Occasio Enterprises is focused on social media assisting with training, workshops, strategies and implementation, particularly for charities and hiring predominantly stay at home mums to work with Occasion to enable more women to look after their families and be with their children.  Read Kylie’s story here.
