Cheap and Chic: Sports Luxe

Laura Peppas

Sports Luxe is a fashion trend taking over runways around the world. But what is it exactly, and how do you wear it?

Well, the good news is unlike other fashion trends, Sports Luxe has a much more relaxed feel about it – the look is inspired by the clean lines, comfort and performance of athletic sportswear with a hint of luxe. Think heels matched with drop-crotch trakkies, or a sleek leather skirt paired with a baseball-style jersey. Confused yet? Don’t be.

Surprisingly, Sports Luxe is actually one of the easier trends to try this season (heck, we’re down with anything that makes trakkies cool) and stylist Nicole Dwight shows us how, for the third instalment of our ‘Cheap and Chic’ video series, brought to you by the Canberra Outlet Centre

In this video, Nicole’s done the hard work for you and pulled 10 “Sports Luxe” outfits, without the luxe price tag. To find each look, Nicole takes you inside the Canberra Outlet Centre to visit stores including Lonsdale, FSW Shoes and Trade Secret, all while sharing her insider tips on layering, nabbing bargains, accessorising and more.

So sit back, grab a cuppa and get your retail therapy fix for the day.
