A Foolproof Formula For Your FASHFEST Outfit

Hayley O'Neill

You may have 99 problems, but what to wear to FASHFEST ain’t one with this outfit calculation.

My method is simple.

The struggle is real when deciding what to wear each day, let alone when you’re deciding on an outfit to wear to Canberra’s premier fashion event, FASHFEST. Let us take the stress out of the equation with this foolproof formula.

You don’t even have to be good at math to understand this calculation.

Add a statement item with a basic piece and finish off your look with accessories.

To break this formula down in further detail:

A statement item is something with a bit of ‘wow factor’—think an embellished top, a yellow dress, a bold print.

A basic item is something we all wear everyday—a t-shirt, denim jeans, or a trench coat; and

An accessory item is something you wear to complete your look and add personality—perhaps a kitten heel, a red lip, a chunky earring, or a fluffy bag.

Not sure you’re quite getting it?

Let’s break it down further with some visual references to show you exactly how to work this winning combination.
