We Are Found Active: tights to help you, find you

Helena Game and Calum Stenning

Deejay Jukic is many things: Stylist. Photographer. Public relations professional.

And now she can add fashion designer to the list, with the launch of the Soho exercise tights under her new activewear brand, We Are Found Active.

With a background in fashion merchandising and styling, Deejay has worked as an official Westfield stylist, as well as one-on-one with individual clients, to provide tailored advice and tips for clothing and style.

We Are Found Active signifies a new direction for Deejay, building on her skills and experience in the fashion industry, to create active-wear with a fresh aesthetic. “in my day to day wardrobe I do bold items, I look for statement pieces,” says Deejay, “express your personality in all forms of life, whether it be yoga, pilates, or kickboxing – whatever you’re into!”

Deejay herself turned to exercise to deal with difficulties in her personal life, finding it to be something that helped to heal both her mind and body, while finding herself at the same time. “it was a way of finding peace with my mind and my body – a place of meditation.” She then went on to explore her own designs from there; combining her creativity with her passion for exercise and healthy living.

Deejay also found that she felt more empowered while exercising in prints, which is why her tights have a bold, colourful floral pattern on a chic black base. “I found when I was training in gear that was colourful and bold, I had more motivation.” And the best thing about the print? It’s made using a sublimation dye process, which means the tights will retain their bright colouring.

The response has already been very promising, from compliments at New York Fashion Week to the ever quantifiable sales-based response. “I only actually got them two days ago, and I’ve already sold more than half!”

The tights are also a polyester-spandex blend, which makes everything from yoga poses to squatting at the gym easier, and are high waisted, which is perfect for pregnant bellies and bigger behinds! The mesh strip that runs the length of the leg also adds a stylish element.

Deejay says at the core of it all, she just wants to inspire and support people to find themselves the way she has.

We Are Found Soho tights are priced at $79.00, with sizes xs to large available. To purchase a pair or for more information, visit We Are Found on Facebook or mussen.com.au.

Helena Game

Helena is a wannabe journalist studying Communications and Journalism at the University of Canberra. Canberra born and bred, she is hopelessly in love with writing, stories and travel. She recently wrote her way around Japan for a creative writing study tour, and spent another two weeks in the Middle East on a journalism exchange, both of which have left her with a proper case of the post-travel blues. While she plots her next adventure, Helena is hoping to gain as much industry experience as humanly possible, and somehow finish her degree at the same time. More about the Author

Calum Stenning

Calum Stenning is Her Canberra’s newest and most male (read: only) intern. Three years spent living overseas has given him a renewed appreciation for Canberra life. Every day starts with coffee and the Sydney Morning Herald crossword at a favourite coffee haunt, as he is wary of the perils of dementia, and thinks crosswords are a viable safeguard. If he lives to a dementia-appropriate age (evidence says he won’t), he’ll let us know. More about the Author
