Street Stylin’

Hayley O'Neill and Beatrice Smith

Braddon is becoming more and more of a fashion destination for Canberra, and we knew Lonsdale Street would be a gold mine for street style. We strolled past the cafes and designer boutiques, finding everything from Dior sunglasses to cobalt blue mohawk clutches…

Taylor, Griffith

“At the moment my style is pretty basic, I like to just wear jeans and jumpers and play around with accessories and scarves. I always tend to wear statement jewellery except for today. I do actually wear a lot of colour, just not at the moment because I haven’t been feeling colour, so I’m currently wearing a lot of black and white because of the weather. I actually do have a lot of colour in my wardrobe. I’m not one of those all black kind of people.”

Stella, Gowrie

“My personal style is very random. I have a lot of pieces that I like putting together, so I guess my style would be defined as eclectic.”

Katrina, Reid

“Working in a boutique I like to have my own individual style. I would define it as understated yet edgy. I like to pair tailored blazers with ripped jeans to create an effortless look. I like wearing quality designer pieces.”

Cassie

“I’m currently on a moderation day and decided to hang out in Braddon. I’m not a very colourful person; my off duty style is very basic. I normally like to go shopping through op shops to find my minimal garments.”
