Street Stylin’: Party Edition

Hayley O'Neill and Beatrice Smith

With a ‘hacienda rule’ of DRINK, EAT, REPEAT and Frida Kahlo dress theme (inspired by the greatest brow queen ever!), we knew we needed to hit up the Browlab official launch party to suss out the style, finding everything from handmade floral crowns to statement pom pom heels…

Ilana, O’Connor

“When I’m not dressing like Frida K, my style is usually dark with a lot of black.  I love wearing high waisted garments; this skirt that I’m wearing was my mum’s when she was little, which I’ve kept for myself. ”

Maddie, Turner

“My style is defiantly vintage but at the moment my look is to a theme. I usually try to be a bit out there sometimes. I like to make statements. I like shopping locally but I also like all the little individual shops that they have in other states as well.”

Maddie wears her mum’s top, online-sourced skirt, jewellery from Bardot, self-made Earrings and Floral Crown.

Sianne, Weetangera

“My style is generally pretty homeless; so tonight I’ve dressed up for the occasion wearing Frida K-inspired clothing with Mexican influences.”

Sianne wears Alice McCall top from Rebel Muse, Ava skirt from Mussen, Shoes from FSW, Floral Crown by Lady Larissa, Hair by Axis and Make-Up by Cat Malak.

Millie, Page

“My look is inspired by Frida K but I tried to put my own vintage style into this look. This dress is inspired by the 1940s and I tried to play with different styles. I bought this shawl for tonight – I couldn’t help myself and based my whole outfit around this piece. I much prefer shopping local, my favourite store is April’s Caravan but I also love shopping in Braddon.”

Millie wears Shawl from Ishka, Dress from April’s Caravan, and friend Maddie (pictured above) made the Floral Crown and Brooch.

Amelia, Gordon

“My style tonight is very minimal. I always love black and everything with texture – which is why I love my shoes tonight. My boyfriend doesn’t like my shoes, but men don’t understand fun clothing. I love this dress because I can wear it different ways and I think black is always a classic style for woman.”
