2016 Yarralumla Midwinter Arts and Crafts Show

The Yarralumla Midwinter Show is one of Canberra’s premier art and crafts events featuring local artisans.

A staple on the Canberra calendar, the show has been delighting visitors for over 35 years with a large array of art and craft, food and entertainment.

The work of local craft workers and artists is showcased and the funds raised support vital community programmes. Recipients last year included Canberra Hospital Chaplaincy, Canberra Refugee Support, Companion House, Kairos Outside for Women, Paperworks Inc. and SIDS and Kids ACT.

The venue is the Yarralumla Uniting Church centre on Denman Street in Yarralumla and the show will be open on:

Friday, 24 June (10am to 8pm)

Saturday 25 June (10am to 5pm)

Sunday 26 June (12pm to 5pm)

The official opening, by Margaret and Ron Reeson at 6pm on Friday 24 June, will be followed by a parade featuring designs exhibited in the show.

Performers at afternoon concerts during the show will include Gospel Folk, Lady’s Mantle, Sticks and Tones and the Andante Andante (ABBA) Choir.

A great way to spend time out of the cold Canberra weather, the show offers much to see and buy as well as wonderful musical entertainment and delicious refreshments.
