Canberra Walk & Ride Week: Toddlers Toddle

Canberra celebrates active travel during March each year. The inaugural week was held in 2017.

The intent of Canberra Walk and Ride Week is to promote walking, cycling and use of public transport, to collect data about these movements through the use of the ACTiveLog Smartphone App and to host a festival of events and activities to celebrate and further promote walking, cycling and use of public transport.

All Canberrans are encouraged to walk, ride and catch public transport as often as possible for any journey purpose during the week. It might be your commute to school, to work, to a meeting or appointment during the day, to a social outing, to the shops on the weekend, or to one of our events during the week.

This walk with the Canberra Bushwalkers Club is designed for kids 18 months to 5 years old each accompanied by a parent or grandparent. It will follow a track at the foot of Mt Majura until we reach smooth old fallen trees to climb on. Meet at 10am at the informal carpark at the gate marked, ‘Clancy’s Track’ in Antill Street Watson.
