With the release of their incredibly impressive second album Every Open Eye, CHVRCHES have strengthened their status as one of the most-loved and respected bands in the game. Attracting perfect or near-perfect scores all over the world, the album broke into the Top 10 in the US, UK, Australia and elsewhere on its release.

Their debut Bones of What You Believe (2013) was recorded in isolation and propelled them to the spotlight via early blog support, word of mouth and over 350 shows in just two years.

A study in contrasts – a fiercely intelligent pop band with a DIY ethos, wildly popular and critically acclaimed, a huge-sounding band that do more with less – CHVRCHES are poised to become one of 2016’s true global stars.

San Cisco

San Cisco’s storm came in much like a front approaching the port in their home town of Fremantle; swift and eerily beautiful. Initially whipped up in the wake of high school graduation, the momentum gained by the foursome of Jordi, Scarlett, Nick and Josh grew to take in multiple world tours, ARIA nominations (six to be exact), prestigious record deals, Hottest 100 Top 10’s, Lollapalooza, Pukkelpop and a sold out North American tour. They unwittingly defined hipster culture with their “Awkward” video and then immediately subverted it as they covered Daft Punk’s global hit “Get Lucky”; both of which sit on millions of YouTube views. Following the critically acclaimed single “RUN”, Gracetown appeased San Cisco’s hungry fans.

Named after a coastal town in South West WA, Gracetown showcases a more worldly approach to life; exploring the tyranny of love, displacement, homesickness, heartache and heartbreak, via disco, funk, soul and hip hop undertones. Since then, San Cisco has toured US, UK, Australia and Europe from March to July, playing sold out shows to eager audiences. Relentless requests from fans in Mexico also saw the band travel to Mexico City for the first time, where the band performed at Viva Latino music festival.

After signing with Future Classic in early 2014, everyone’s favourite club-pup Basenji, aka Sebastian Muecke, finally delivered his highly anticipated first release on the label, ‘Heirloom’.

In 2015, with singles ‘Dawn’, ‘Heirloom’ & ‘Petals’ up his sleeve, Basenji announced details of his debut ‘Trackpad’ EP plus a new single ‘Can’t Get Enough’. It’s his first real exploration into the realm of twisted pop, combining his signature clap tracks and Kawaii-style production.

Coming off the back of his headline tour across Australia in October 2015, Basenji will make your dreams come true.

Visual artist and video DJ, Ego is an exciting new breed of talent, continually wowing audiences with his live performances and visual productions.

A true pioneer, Ego takes DJing and smashes it together with visual art to create a unique live show throwing down high energy, genre-melding DJ sets alongside a synchronised cinema-scape of pop-culture references and far- flung samples, melded together in his signature psychedelic style, projected onscreen behind him.

Backed by Serato as an audio visual DJ to watch, Ego continually flips the script on what can be done in the worlds of music and video. In 2014 he remixed the Game of Thrones TV series and blew the minds of show fans on the Rave of Thrones Australian tour. In 2013 he teamed with Touch Sensitive to create the world’s first instagram-sourced, user-generated song and music video. In 2012 he teamed with Nice to create the viral hit Hottest 100 mashup, compiling all songs from the year’s JJJ Hottest 100 poll into a 6 minute song and video.

His live sets have taken him from nightclubs to art galleries to main stage slots at Falls Festival, Splendour in the Grass and Field Day; from around Australia to across the world, playing venues in South America, South Africa, Bali and New Zealand.

Away from the stage Ego is in high demand for his visual work. Having produced film clips for the likes of Beni and LDRU, productions for Red Bull, Fuzzy, Sweat it Out Modular, and official video remixes for The Presets and Lana Del Rey and Clubfeet.

TakUnDa walks on stage, he is a microphone killer.

From his start at the Chop Shop to the intimacy of the tiny shows at the Front or his show-stopping performance at Fashfest, where he was labelled a visionary by HerCanberra

Producing soulful rhymes, over new age beats, Tak-Un-Da (or T.K as known by his homies) is a hip-hop artist driving the game in a new direction.

Takunda will blow away any crowd that stands before him.

Float on the warm currents of TOYO’s ambient sound, created with a positive and experimental energy.

Toyo is the downtempo face of prolific producer Jarrod Bartlett. Toyo’s productions are refined, chilled out and heavily textured. Having played guitar for as long as he can remember, Toyo blends organic and synthesized instruments in his live shows.

After working for a year locked in the studio, Toyo entered the scene in late 2015 and immediately got the attention of festivals like Subsonic, Rabbits Eat Lettuce and Dragon Dreaming. With strong momentum and sense of musical direction, Toyo has a lot to look forward to.
