Moving Archetypes: Dance for Connecting free introductory community workshops

Canberrans will have the opportunity to dance their way to connecting with powerful mythical and legendary archetypes through a series of brand new dance classes.

The new classes titled ‘Moving Archetypes’ are the latest offering from internationally award winning choreographer, Padma Menon. Archetypes are figures, such as Cleopatra, Tara or Kali, that symbolise universal patterns of human stories and feelings.

Padma Menon has over 30 years’ international experience as a choreographer and facilitator. Her classes use Indian and western movement, reflection and guided improvisation and music from diverse cultures. Those who have attended classes with Padma all over the world say that archetypes help embrace complexity and make people feel less isolated in their life experiences.
