Bricking news – the Giant Charity LEGO sale is back!
Roundabout Canberra is bringing back the Giant Charity LEGO sale, on Saturday 21 September. This is your chance to spend some hard-earned cash on something you love, but there’s no need to feel guilty – all the money goes to a good cause.
After years of this event being run by The Green Shed, Sandy and Charlie Bigg-wither have passed the baton to Roundabout Canberra, after a phenomenal partnership and running the charity together for two years. Since The Green Shed closed in May 2024, they have generously donated all the LEGO they had collected over the years.
This event is built for fun times for all you brick heads out there, especially given the hard work that the Roundabout Canberra volunteers have put into this event, going through tones of LEGO to ensure every piece finds a perfect place.
Over 200 new and used LEGO sets will be available to purchase this year, including mini-figures, and, in even more exciting news for all the collectors out there, a collection of rare vintage sets will also be on sale.
Not only are they selling LEGO sets, but loose LEGO pieces will also be available for purchase at $30 per kilogram and Duplos will be available for $20 per kilogram (and discounts apply to pre bundled bags). But the fun does not stop there – this year there’s more than just LEGO; there will also be market stalls, burgers from All About Burgers, coffee from café Loko, and lemonade from the awesome Shar Bros. But hold on to your bricks, there’s more. There will be an entire area dedicated to building your own mini-figures!
This will be the block-buster event of the year with something for every brick-head. Doors open promptly at 1 pm and close at 5 pm, so head on down and get your brick on!
