PSA: Peking Duk is coming to Canberra for two massive shows this November

The best part? Teens don’t have to miss out, with a dedicated session for 15 to 18-year-olds, as well as one just for adults.

That’s right – Canberra’s own chart-topping duo is set to headline Underage Warehouse Party – Year 3000, a one-of-a-kind rave experience at The Vault in Dairy Road on Friday 15 November for a very special under-18s event.

Offering the unforgettable opportunity for young fans to experience Australia’s dance music scene, the Underage Warehouse Party will be decked out with The Vault’s world-class sound system, lasers, and immersive projection, dance crews and even ping pong tables.

It will be followed by a show for older ravers. Best. Night. Out. Ever.

Formed in 2010 by Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles, Peking Duk have become local legends – riding high after a sold-out 13-date winter DJ tour across Australia, a headline performance at the iconic Bunnings Warehouse Party (another killer gig we sadly missed out on), and the release of their latest single.

Set to bring their high-energy sound back to their hometown for this exclusive event at The Vault, the concept of the Underage Warehouse Party is to create a proper – and safe – dance party for the next generation to experience as they get ready to enter the adult world of live music.

And with light-up mocktails, food trucks and even fire shows promised, it sounds even better than a night out at Mooseheads (sorry Mr Moose).

Designed in collaboration with high-school students, the Underage Warehouse Party will also have experienced security, and cleaning protocols are in place to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all attendees.

“We believe it’s crucial to offer young audiences a safe space to experience great music before they turn 18,” says Dave Caffery, founder of Dionysus and The Vault.

“Parents are welcome to take a sneak peek inside the venue – and hang out in one of the nearby venues if you’d like – but are expected to understand this is not a family rave (that’s called Bangin’ Beats & Bubbles, the next day). Rather, this is a special and safe experience for young people.”

Run, don’t walk to get your hands on tickets – we predict these shows will sell out.
