It’s silly season. Party time. But hosting an event—one that is truly memorable—is not without its challenges. It can be time consuming, a tad frustrating and even stressful.

But help is nearby with a new Canberra business just launched by Carly Taylor.

The Party Pages, the capital’s number one event business directory, is an easy-to-use, free resource that will help you organise any type of event, and with flair.

Carly’s extensive experience in organising a large number of events—from a free community gathering for 6,000 people down to a dynamic small kid’s birthday party—led her to develop The Party Pages to fill a gap in the market. And she has done so just in time for one of the biggest party times of the annual social calendar—Christmas and New Year.

“Over the years, I have spent hours and hours searching for the individual services needed to pull off a great event,” says Carly.

“I thought ‘Why not create a one-stop shop for everything party?’.”

The Party Pages quickly links users to relevant businesses that can be relied on for support and services, all through a comprehensive online business directory. More than 150 businesses are already on the site, with more to be continually added.

Most are based in Canberra but some are regional businesses that offer a quality service.

“The aim is to make hosting a party, event or function stress free,” says Carly.

“That includes weddings, parties for kids, parties for adults, celebrations of life, such as christenings and wakes, and corporate functions.”

Detailed planning is the most important part of hosting a successful event. The Party Pages tells you where to go for cakes and treats, catering, costume hire, decorations and invitations, entertainment, equipment hire, music, photography, venues, gift ideas, hair and makeup, themes and more.

It took Carly about six months to develop the new site and doing so involved a great deal of research and digging.

“Some businesses on the site are micro businesses that are amazing at what they do. But they don’t have a huge marketing budget, so locating them can be challenging. That’s why the one-stop shop works so well,” she explains.

“It gives instant access to a range of these businesses and services, as well as larger, more established ones.”

Whether it’s a Christmas party or a themed masquerade ball, The Party Pages has you covered.

The Party Pages is much more than an online business directory. It also offers valuable free resources that inspire and make life easy. The Free resources section site offers party planning help and tools (even a party alcohol calculator) as well as party recipes and a list of great outdoor party locations.

“With The Party Pages I wanted to help people spend less time planning and more time partying,” says Carly.

“Life is hectic enough. The site provides resources that make it much easier for people to make their event really stand out from the crowd.”
