Calling all Canberra families with a cinematic eye

HerCanberra Team

Do you want to feature in the next big campaign for Virgin Australia?

The airline is calling for all Canberra families with an eye for cinematography and a strong sense of local identity.

Virgin is preparing a series of videos to air on their inflight entertainment system and are gathering families from around the country to become impromptu travel reporters.

Working with VisitCanberra and Bound Round, an online family travel website, Virgin is resorting to the travel truism that “locals know”.

A Canberra family will be selected alongside another 20 families from a variety of regions around the country, and will be given a Sony Action Cam FDRX3000 valued at $649 to record their experiences.

Each family will then be supported by a Bound Round video producer to capture footage of their experiences in and around their hometown and each selected family will also win a two-night stay at any BIG4 Holiday Park.

Perks of the job include free adventures every school holidays (for one year) in order to capture the best of what Canberra has on offer.

”Australian families are seven times more likely to travel domestically than internationally,” said Janeece Keller, Founder and CEO of Bound Round. “With so many families travelling around the country, we know how important it is they have access to great content that helps them decide how to spend their precious family time.”

“These video stories will provide a great way to connect directly with travelling families, and show them the great depth and breadth of experiences available around the country,” she said.

Families interested in applying to become the “face of Canberra”  must submit a video and details here.

HerCanberra looks forward to providing you an exclusive sneak peak of the Canberra videos as they go to air nationally.

But hurry, as entries are closing next Friday 28 April.
