Cartier Masthead Final Weeks

The Weekend Edit

HerCanberra Team

Your essential guide to what’s on in Canberra this weekend!

Every Monday for more than seven years, we’ve published This Week in The Canour comprehensive guide to everything happening around the city this week – but sometimes it’s just too epic to get through! That’s why each Friday we publish our Weekend Edit… Here are the things you shouldn’t miss!

ANTONY & CLEOPATRA

The most famous couple that ever lived. Antony and Cleopatra. In the ruthless, ever-expanding empire of Rome, Shakespeare creates an astonishing portrait of a love too great for the world.

Mark Antony is a hero in a post-heroic world. He is torn between duty and love; his responsibility to Rome and his new life in Egypt; to the world he helped conquer; and his passion for Cleopatra. Complex, charismatic, fierce. Cleopatra is a mother, a lover, a Queen. A woman not to be defied.

Witness the insight and power of AFI and Logie winner Catherine McClements (Rake, The Time of our Lives) as she returns to Bell Shakespeare for one of the greatest roles ever written.

Showing from Thursday 12 April until Saturday 21 April at Canberra Theatre Centre, London Circuit.

KERRI SACKVILLE – OUT THERE

When Kerri Sackville began dating again after a long marriage, she made every mistake known to womankind. She swiped right on scammers and fakers, spent weeks fruitlessly texting, agreed to long dates with the wrong men, and got involved with hot messes and commitment phobes. She also met amazing men and went on sensational first dates, and learned how to navigate the minefield that is dating in midlife.

Out There: A survival guide for dating in midlife is the essential book for any woman jumping on the rollercoaster of midlife dating. Kerri may not be able to find you the man of your dreams, but she will help you survive the ride with your dignity and sanity intact. And you will definitely laugh a lot along the way. Swipe right on Out There, and enjoy the ride!

In conversation with HerCanberra’s Amanda Whitley.
