Discover the golden age of circus this summer as Circus 1903 sets to captivate audiences of all ages! The producers of the world’s biggest magic show, The Illusionists, have teamed up with the award winning puppeteers from War Horse to present a thrilling turn of the century circus spectacular.

Sensational puppetry puts Elephants back in the ring as never seen before along with a huge cast of the most unique, amazing and dangerous circus acts from all four corners of the world, from strong men to contortionists, acrobats to musicians, knife throwers, high wire and much more!

Enter the elegant, bold and often glamorous world of Melbourne photographer Athol Shmith (1914–1990). A selection of stunning black and white prints from the National Library of Australia’s large collection will be on display.

The Old Bus Depot Markets first Christmas Kids theme event offers a free Christmas Elf Show along with pony rides, petting zoo, jumping castle, and a cash give-away. Of course you can also get in a spot of Christmas shopping with all the wonderful stallholders.

The Eco-Elves Night Market showcases and celebrates local, handmade, eco-friendly, fair-trade and up-cycled gifts. Eco-minded shoppers return each year for the diverse array of stalls, the local food BBQ, live music, the lake views at sunset and the family-friendly atmosphere.

Featuring live music, food and a local wine bar and 45 unique stalls, the market takes place on the picturesque grasslands by the lake outside the Canberra Environment Centre. The site is easily accessible by bike, public transport and car and nearby parking for stallholders will be provided.

Enjoy the market’s transition from a setting sun into the evening.

dragons abreast

Come and Try dragonboating with Dragons Abreast(for breast cancer survivors). Participants are given an on-shore instruction on the dragonboating technique.

They will then go out on the water in the boat with experienced paddlers for about 30 minutes. A delicious morning tea will follow.

All In – a variety night featuring music, theatre, circus and burlesque with a focus on quality performances. There will also be a wide variety of themes and genres from comedies about anxiety, to heartfelt music, adapted fairy tales and tales of family woe.

Canberra is the home of many spectacular artists, many of whom are also people who live with a disability. That’s why Rebus Theatre is producing All In for International Day for People With a Disability 2016.

See several well-known Canberra performers including Ruth O’Brien, Katie Senior, Daniel Savage, Cara Matthews and Ben Drysdale as well as performances by up and coming artists such as Joel Swadling and the Xtreme Stars.
