Pialligo Estate Academy: Heighten interests and foster passions

Olivia Afiabo

At the picturesque setting that is Pialligo Estate, it’s hard to imagine anything tasting less than exquisite.

It’s almost like a manicured farmland; the refined, rustic simplicity of the estate claims a flavour of its own. And perhaps it’s impossible to bottle or capture this essence—as it is unique to Pialligo—but that doesn’t mean you can’t take some of that lingering flavour home with you.

Since February, Pialligo Estate Academy has been offering Master Classes designed to reflect the diversity and sustainability of the property, aimed at providing educational lifestyle programs to enhance personal development. Each class is run by an esteemed industry professional, and all are passionate about sharing their expertise and knowledge.

The classes primarily focus on food, wine, and produce, however, with classes like Dinner Party Styling, DIY Wedding Flowers and Panoramic Yoga, it’s not just the food lover who will flourish.

“The property itself is inspirational to so many creative ideas,” says Training and Development Manager of Pialligo Estate, Diana Ryan.

“The owners felt the need to up-skill staff in the ACT plus share our unique offerings and magnificent venue with our local community—sharing first-hand knowledge, skills, techniques and experiences to engage social groups, heighten interests and foster passions.”

The Pialligo Estate Academy is much more than a chance to refine your culinary and DIY skills—it’s a wonderful chance to experience, savour and relax. Experience the green and golden landscape while sipping on a glass of wine; enjoy the taste of whatever culinary treat you’ve just mastered; or relax in downward dog, while your legs poke the lush farmland and gardens.

“The classes are fun and participative. Guests are able to experience first-hand culinary techniques, get their hand dirty in the organic soil, taste wines from around the world, participate in yoga classes and style wedding and floral arrangements.”
