EPIC 2018 Masthead

Lifting the lid on a MINI experience

Emma Macdonald

One of the perks of the job is road-testing HerCanberra experiences.

So when the opportunity presented itself to grab a MINI convertible for a few days, check out a personal styling session with Style Liberation and hang with MINI ambassador and Australian women’s soccer star Michelle Heyman, I could hardly turn it down…Plus, I am very conscientious about completing my “work”.

Working hard (or more like enjoying some sunshine…)

The good news is HerCanberra readers now have the opportunity to win an indulgent driving, shopping and eating weekend over 17-18 December.

Here’s how to win

All you need to do is enter the Summer Styling with MINI competition – and explain what you love about the new MINI convertible in 25 words or less – with a winner to be drawn on 9 December.

Just imagine picking up the keys to a brand new convertible on Friday afternoon and driving it to your two-hour styling and shopping session the next day at the Canberra Centre.

Style Liberation’s Fiona Keary will take you through the latest season’s looks and may encourage you to branch out in your fashion choices. I tell you what, I would never have picked myself in a dark blue lace playsuit by Lover, but when I tried it on I was sold.

Fiona Keary, from Style Liberation, showing me some seminal summer pieces!

All that trying on may leave you a bit peckish, so it’s off to try all the food and drink of the much-anticipated The Commons.

The interstate cult foodie favourites of Mary’s Burgers, Gelato Messina and Melbourne Martini Bar will have stalls set up at Commonwealth Park. You and a friend can feast your evening away. But don’t feel you have to stand in line to make your order, you will have a butler service to bring you all the sustenance you require. Thanks Rolfe Classic Mini Garage!

On Sunday you can pop the top off your car and enjoy more air, more sky, more sun. Sounds good, no?

The only drawback is you’ll have to drop the car back at Rolfe Classic MINI Garage by Monday morning…Sigh.
