Colour splash is back! 

Usually, when autumn hits we break out our bleakest greys and blacks and prepare for the winter ahead but with this year’s trends, you’ll celebrating summer all winter long.

According to sources like the MECCA Cosmetica Trend Report, colours are here to stay, so let’s break down the top makeup trends for 2017.

Blue is Back

Blue is bringing the 80’s vibes by returning in bold splashes of colour. From blue mascaras, blue eyeliners and bold matte blue pigment, these will be the winter blues you can’t get enough of.

Used in the image above, this MAC pigment is the ultimate blue fantasy. Super rich in colour, matte finish and being a loose pigment gives you room to play. Use it as a bold fun eyeshadow or press it on your lash line as a modern take on a retro eyeliner.

Orange IS the new black

Orange is often the forgotten colour in makeup but it’s making a huge comeback. Lips, cheeks and nails adorned with orange will give that summer glow amidst the winter haze.
