HerCanberra Team

Canberra brides-to-be will get the chance to meet award-winning bridal designer, Wendy Makin, during exclusive consultations at Annabel’s Bridal Studio in Kingston this Saturday.

Attendees will also catch a sneak preview of the first collaborative capsule collection between Makin and principal of Annabel’s Bridal Studio, Misty Annabel.

Misty says she had travelled to the Makin atelier studio in East Brisbane and the two had joined forces to produce an initial capsule collection of five gowns.

“I’ve carried design ideas with me for years and have a particular focus on how a gown should fit, feel and behave,” she says.

“The styles we’ve created convey an effortless glamour – I wanted them to look like liquid on the body in a way that every woman would look perfect on her big day.”

Misty says she was also drawn to Makin because her gowns would be made in Australia in her Brisbane atelier and would be second to none in quality.

“I really believe in supporting our Australian bridal industry,” she says.
