ACT Margaret Hendry Public Lecture 2018

Hosted by the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) the Public Forum is a free event open to anyone interested in the ACT’s current planning agenda.

This year the forum features four female speakers including Suzanne Orr (Member for Yerrabi) to discuss how planning decisions affect all kinds of community, including those who are not able to participate such as children. Underpinned by the beliefs of renowned American/Canadian city planning activist and author Jane Jacobs that ‘Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody’, planning industry members seek community participation and the understanding of the complex and long-term impacts that planning decisions have.

Happening Thursday 15 March from 6 pm at Palace Electric cinemas (NewActon).
