ACTIVE Week: SwingTrain

SwingTrain is a fun and effective dance cardio workout inspired by the joyful, energetic sounds Of Charleston, Swing, Gospel, Electro Swing and Hot Jazz.

Launched in London in late 2016, this total body exercise class has just launched in Australia, with Canberra the first city to offer classes. SwingTrain is offered through Savoy Dance – which offers weekly swing and balboa dance classes, and is thrilled to introduce Canberra to SwingTrain!

What to expect

The instructor Cathie will lead you through a series of fun, follow-along move and engaging choreography guaranteed to get you sweating and smiling! The class consists of low and high impact exercises, so you can take it at your own pace, and uses a variety of slower and faster electro swing music tracks to keep you inspired. The joyful new fitness class aims to improve coordination, balance and agility.
Come solo, or bring a group friends! No partner or previous dance experience required – just your willingness to have fun.
Wear comfy gym clothes, runners or supportive shoes and bring some water and a towel.


To register, simply arrive 5 minutes early to class.
