Unbranded are Canberra’s largest strong(wo)man training facility.

They offer the most diverse strength gym providing a range of specialised classes which are each dedicated to give their athletes the best knowledge, skills, support, guidance and resources to enable them to reach their strength goals.

What to expect

STRONG(WO)MAN

Strong(wo)man is quite possibly one of the most easily accessible sport there is. Involving every day ‘real world’ functional movements including; carry’s, pick ups, presses, pushing and pulling. The team will go though how to use the yoke, log, atlas stones, farmers carry and much more. The equipment that is used is nothing like anything else and its amazing to see what the body can do with it. Come give it ago there’s nothing quite like picking up a round ball made from cement to make you feel like Wonder Woman!

WEIGHTLIFTING

Come and try the weird, wacky wonderful sport of Olympic Weightlifting. There will be something for all experience levels available, including a two hour beginners seminar to learn full fundamentals of the snatch, and clean and jerk. Beginners depending on their progress in the seminar may be invited to either enter the specialised Unbranded starting process or advance straight to the normal training system classes. Those with prior experience can participate in the weightlifting classes where you’ll get to experience a full blown weightlifting specific training system for a week.

WHAT TO BRING

Water bottle, any training gear you might already have (belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps ect), for weightlifting- weightlifting shoes (or hard-soled shoes if you don’t have weightlifting shoes), There are limited loan shoes available as well. And most importantly, and an open mind and heart! Remember everyone starts somewhere.
