Dutch Food and Culture Festival

Enjoy food, drink and performances at the Dutch Food and Culture Festival in the Albert Hall on the last Sunday of April 2018.

An amazing and free event on Sunday 29 April 2018 for all of Canberra alike, not just the Dutchies!

Enjoy Dutch food, drinks, culture, games, music & fun from the Netherlands. You don’t have to be Dutch to wear orange!

Happening Sunday 29 April from 9.30 am – 4 pm at Albert Hall, Commonwealth Avenue, Yarralumla.

SCHEDULE

09.30am  Start of the Kings Day walk under the guidance of Walking for Pleasure

10am  Gates open to the Albert Hall

10am–4pm  Dutch food market open

10am–2pm  Dutch flea market, face painting and photo booth

10am–12pm Dutch Cultural activities under the guidance of the Canberra Dutch School “Abeltje”

10.30am & 11.30am  Peter Reynders playing some famous Dutch songs on the piano in the Hall (20 minute sessions)

10.30am–12.30pm  Escape room open

10.30am–12.30pm  Take your kids out for a ride on Jessy the pony

12pm–12.30pm  Kings Day dance preformed on stage by the Dutch School followed by Stuart Warner playing the famous Albert Hall Organ

12pm  Mount Majura wine-tasting start under the guidance of (Dutch) winemaker Dr Frank van der Loo

12.00pm–4.00pm  Dutch DJ Stroopwafel will hit the stage with the best sounds of the Netherlands, alternated with life jazz at the lawns of Albert Hall

12.30pm  Start of the Bike Ride under the guidance of Pedal Power

13.30pm  Release your kites: spectacular kiting under the guidance of Kite Canberra (during the day, all children have the opportunity to make their own kites)

4pm  Closing of the bars and food stalls
