Enlighten Night Noodle Markets

A feast of fantastic food and produce add to the illumination across the national capital when the Enlighten Night Noodle Markets light up Canberra.

The program brings a line-up of food and drink events to the city as part of Canberra’s annual Enlighten festival. Try some authentic Asian eats at the Enlighten Night Noodle Markets or enjoy any number of fine dining events taking place in restaurants across the city.

Held over 10 nights from 27 February to 8 March, The Enlighten Night Noodle Markets will convert Canberra’s Reconciliation Place into a buzz of colour, delicious smells and sound. Thirst Wine Bar and Morks join a host of popular stalls, including Hoy Pinoy, Let’s Do Yum Cha and Zagyoza at the Asian hawker market-style event.

The celebration of fantastic food and produce from around the region continues through until 8 March with three favourite features of The Canberra Times Good Food Month, presented by Citi: Let’s Do Lunch, Hats Off Dinners and Drink and Dine.

Enjoy a great-priced set lunch with a matched drink at leading Canberra restaurants, Bicicletta and Silo Bakery, as part of the Let’s Do Lunch event. Italian and Sons and Capital Bar and Grill will host the Hats Off Dinners, where The Good Food Guide hatted chefs create one-off menus.

Drink and Dine is all about the drinks from wine to cider to craft beer to champagne. Check out Bentspoke Brewing Co, Olims Bar and Bistro, Parlour Wine Room, The Rum Bar and Vitis Eatery for this smorgasbord of food and drinks matching.

Festival Creative Director Myffy Rigby said there was an array of tasty treats that awaited Australia’s capital.

“Let’s Do Lunch, the Hats Off Dinners, Drink and Dine, and a series of bespoke events – not to mention the Enlighten Night Noodle Markets –  are set to shine a culinary light on this incredible city. ”

ACT Chief Minister, Andrew Barr said: “The Enlighten Night Noodle Markets bring the Territory’s finest food and wine to the city, giving locals and interstate visitors the opportunity to experience what the region has to offer in the heart of Canberra. It joins a host of fantastic Enlighten events that are helping to build the festival into one of the city’s most exciting events.”
