It’s National Water Week!
Here in Canberra we have several fantastic water spaces and with the weather getting warmer it is more inviting than ever to go make your way to your favourite water source and enjoy some fun outside!
The theme for the 2017 National Water Week is Water – the Heart of our Culture. National Water Week provides an opportunity to reflect on and be grateful for our access to clean water, and the important role water plays in our lives. It is also a time to consider what we can do to protect our water environments and resources.
National Water Week activities in Canberra started with the Inaugural Lake Burley Griffin Water Week Challenge Cup kayak race on Sunday 15 October. This weekend also celebrates the beginning of the Lake Burley Griffin Summer Recreational Season, with Lake Burley Griffin being open for the summer.
