Spring Glory courtyard tour

See a different side of ‘the people’s house’ on a tour of the stunning private gardens led by one of our friendly guides. This is a rare opportunity to see the glorious gardens that are lovingly tended by the Parliament House landscape staff. Beautifully calm and simple, these private gardens are sure to delight!

Dates: Saturdays: 10 September to 15 October
Sundays: every Sunday from 11 September to 16 October
Weekdays: 16 September, 19 September – 7 October, 14 October

Meet the Gardener tour

Parliament House Landscape Services gardeners will lead this very special in-depth tour through the gardens and private courtyards of Parliament House. They will show you how they manage the intricate systems and planting that keep the gardens looking their best. Here is an opportunity to ask all of those gardening questions and get a few tips from the best. The tour will finish with tea in the Queen’s Terrace café.

Dates: Sunday 18 September and Sunday 2 October

Spring tea

Celebrate spring with a delightful high tea and a glass of bubbly under the blossoms in one of the charming private gardens of Parliament House.

Length and Breadth: new acquisitions from the Parliament House Art Collection

From Flinders Ranges to Darling Downs, Bathurst Harbour to Broken Hill, this exhibition features a selection of contemporary Australian artworks acquired by Parliament House since 2013. It focuses on images of landscape, both real and imagined, from across the vast Australian continent and created over the last three decades.

Location: Presiding Officers Exhibition Area, Level One

Parliament House landscape and garden walk self-guide

Continue your exploration of the gardens and landscape that surround Parliament House by taking a self-guided stroll through the ceremonial and native gardens. The self-guide brochure, available at The Parliament Shop, leads you through the many hidden highlights of this special landscape.
