The Sass & Tease Collective present Bella de Jac and Jacqueline Furey

The Sass and Tease Collective are hosting the reigning Miss Burlesque Australia Bella de Jac (Vic) and Australian Burlesque Festival headliner Jacqueline Furey (Qld) for one night only in a very special full-length theatrical cabaret.

All are invited to the Abbey on Saturday 16 July where a bevy of Canberra’s cabaret performers will be bringing and the most glamourous and gruesome creatures of the fairy court to life.

Winter is waning and Queen Mab and her court are preparing for a midwinter masquerade. These revelries will thaw the last of the winter frost and prepare the world for spring…  There is just one problem, no one can find the Queen and things are getting out of hand.

Bella and Jacqueline will be joined on stage by a veritable host of local talent; Burlesque artists; Abel Fox, Darcy Fae, Ivy Ambrosia, Ursula Wolfe and Virginia Fizz. The Amazonian chanteuse Belle Bleu, budding boylesquer Ziggy Charms and the always-delightful Jacob Harlem will be steering the show as MC and guide to the fairy court.

Tickets from $30+bf, available through the Abbey:

Australia’s Mistress of Tease, Bella de Jac is a darkly elegant whisper from the nihilistic 1930s, insidious, and sensual. Her fiery determination and passion for the art form has seen her secure the incredible title of Miss Burlesque Australia 2015! Bella was recently voted in at number 31 in the 2015 21st Century Burlesque Top 50 and also voted Most Glamorous & People’s Choice Victoria 2014 by her peers at the annual Australian Burlesque Industry Awards.

Along with an impressive list of titles and performance credits, she also has a bachelor degree in Performance Studies and recent high profile shows include headlining tours with the Australian Burlesque Festival, New Zealand Burlesque Festival and the Perth International Burlesque Festival.

Bella was also invited to perform at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender, and has taken her smouldering brand of tease to the stages of Las Vegas, New York & San Francisco. She is also the Managing Director of the Australian Burlesque Museum, dedicated to researching, preserving and honouring Australia’s Burlesque history.
