Send Hope Not Flowers Cocktail Fundraiser

Sydney singer and Jermaine Jackson protege Julie Kerr is coming to Canberra for her album launch and to help raise funds for our very own local charity success story, Send Hope Not Flowers. Kerr, who was discovered by Jackson in 2012 after he heard one of her songs, Papergirl, is bringing her six-piece soul band to the National Press Club on Friday June 17 from 6pm and will play songs from her new album “Carry On”.

Kerr has a Canberra connection in that she was working as a Global Poverty Ambassador and helped advise on the set up of Send Hope in 2011.  Send Hope is a maternal health charity which funds safe birth projects in the developing world and Kerr is donating her time and energy to raise funds for their vital work.
