You might think starting a business is hard enough—much less starting one which seeks to…
We’re desperately seeking a superstar content producer and coordinator to work with the HerCanberra and Coordinate teams. Could it be you?
Are you crazy about content? Psyched for social? Eager to edit? You may be the perfect person to join our team of creatives.
Canberra’s premier lifestyle website HerCanberra, and the city’s leading communications agency Coordinate, are looking for a Content Producer and Coordinator to join their fast-paced NewActon office.
You’ll be joining a welcoming, fun and close-knit team working on campaigns, social and content across both brands—there’ll be plenty of variety and inspiration, and loads of opportunity to hone your skills in an ideas-rich environment.
Day-to-day duties include conceptualising, writing, editing and scheduling editorial content for HerCanberra’s website, creating social media content, working with clients to create remarkable sponsored and custom content, and supporting the broader team. To answer your question—yes, you will often get free food.
Ideally, our newest team member will have at least two years of industry experience and be skilled in writing content for online or print audiences, social media and PR. The ability to work to tight editorial and social media deadlines is essential. You’ll also need to be flexible—as a small business, we all pitch in to get the job done
You’ll be working closely with our valued clients to create exceptional and creative content strategies, so an understanding of the landscape around sponsored and custom content is essential. Excellent interpersonal skills are a must—nurturing positive relationships with interviewees, clients and freelance writers is a key part of the job.
A solid understanding of creating content for, and disseminating content across, a range of social media platforms is paramount as you’ll also have a hand in managing our channels. A nuanced understanding of the rules and guidelines around branded content would be a bonus.
In terms of personal qualities, we are looking for an optimist—someone who sees opportunities rather than roadblocks. We believe in collaboration and lifting others up, and our newest team member will share this ethos.
We encourage people of all genders, cultural backgrounds and abilities to apply.
This position has ample opportunity for growth within the organisation, as well as the chance to work in one of Canberra’s most exciting creative environments. We also have a part-time office dog—so run, don’t walk.
This is a full-time role (38 hours per week). Salary is $60,000 plus superannuation. We also have lovely working conditions, including regular Burger Fridays!
