#HCStreetStyle October

Here at HerCanberra, we know Canberrans have got style.

We see you doing your thing, whether in person or on social media, and it got us thinking: What if there was a way to find all this fashion inspo in one place?

That’s why we’ve created #HCStreetStyle, a hashtag that you can use to let us (and the world) know you’re feelin’ yourself. We want to see your pics at home or out and about in the city, and will highlight our favourites here and on Instagram.

Siobhan, Public Servant and Mum, Watson

Style: Eclectic and fun but it does need to be practical.

Details: Mum uniform with a retro twist. Classic Stan Smiths, a cute top and Zara jogger pants.

Courtney, 28, Author, Cook

Style: Feminine with an edgy twist. Lots of black, navy, and maroon mixed with blush pinks, floral patterns, and stripes.

Details: The Dark Romance Shift dress by Review, paired with a Samantha Wills Bohemian Bardot ring.

Anita, 42, Strategic Policy & Political Advocacy, Kingston

Style: Anything that makes me feel good. A mixture of designer, high street and op shops. I like colour, texture and balance. Every outfit is a little bit of self-expression.

Details: A Carla Zampatti playsuit.

Ruby, 22, Salon Manager & Marketing Coordinator at @Kundalinihair, Campbell.

Style: A mix of current and modern topped with anything vintage/reworked and recycled. Mum’s hidden treasure box of 80s/90s goodies is a go-to.

Details: A reworked op-shop denim Levies jacket which she recently added these knitted sleeves to. Paired with a Zara turtleneck and Neuw Denim jeans

Andrea, 32, MD of HAUS Models, Braddon.

Style: Simplicity and comfort over anything else.

Details: Denim jeans and a T-shirt, with the faux fur coat which was a Mother’s Day gift.

We live about 60 metres from the kids school so this is how the convo went this morning while Milla was taking my photo. . Me: Mill!! Quick get some candid shots before all the school families drive past. I don’t want to look like a narcissistic twit. Milla: {giggling away} wait wait wait. Me: ok we are done. Hopefully you got a decent shot. Milla: oh don’t you worry lady – I did!! #loveherconfidence 😂 . It’s easy to be a true #layerplayer on a below zero morning in Canberra for the @teamstylefile challenge today. . Wearing: @peachysundaze earrings @assembleclothing Holly Bomber Jacket @assembleclothing Valentine Knit @targetaus long sleeve white tee @zara high waisted ripped knee jeans @frankie4footwear NATs . In other news our family got Typhoid & Hep A vaccinations today. The kids are not coping so I’m off to dish out the panadol and administer ice packs while acting like my arms don’t hurt at all 😩
