Kristen Kipouropoulos

You can always rely on the Pop-Up Village at ANU to provide delicious food, but on ACTIVE Day this Sunday, things are getting a little extra – in the best possible way.

When it comes to a living a healthy lifestyle, we’re all about balance. If you’re heading along to ACTIVE Day, we know you’re going to get a sweat on (and if you’re not yet, you can nab yourself tickets here). Big workouts mean big appetites, and it just wouldn’t be ACTIVE Day without a steady supply of healthy and delicious food.

There’s an exciting variety of affordable cuisines at the Village. In addition to their standard menu items, there’s a bunch of healthy food items on offer.

Here’s what you can expect:

BRODBURGER

The Canberra food icon, Brod, are offering their Veggie Brodburger, loaded with grilled veggies & salad, with or without haloumi, and a delish homemade aioli. There is also a vegan option available. This is plain proof that a burger can be a healthier choice!

MOLO LIVE

If you’ve been to the VIllage by night (or by day, we don’t judge) you may well know Molo for their drink specials and all round good vibes. While you might not want an alcoholic beverage while getting ACTIVE, MOLO are joining in on the fun with their frozen yoghurt and Fresh Watermelon Slushies – the perfect snacks for cooling off after a sweat session.

KUBRICK

There’s no better pre-workout than good old fashioned coffee, and Kubrick have the house-roasted stuff in spades. While you can usually rely on them for mouth-watering pastries and snacks from Knead Patisserie, they’ll also be offering vegan protein balls and batch brew coffee for a very reasonable $6!

There you have it – there’s bound to be something that tickles your tastebuds. Don’t forget that whether you’re there for a single session or the whole day, there’s plenty of food to be eaten and coffee to be drunk. We can’t wait to get ACTIVE with you!
