Groovin The Moo announces 2015 line up!
Posted on
If you haven’t herd of it, let us fill you in. Groovin’ the Moo is perhaps the hippest music festival to hit Canberra. Described as “Australia’s only regional music odyssey,” it traverse the country from Oakbank in South Australia to Western Australia’s Bunbury; from the Victorian goldfields to the Hunter Valley and Atherton Tablelands. And, of course, Canberra.
On Sunday 3 May, the University of Canberra will open the gates to festival-goers at 10.30am, with music kicking off from 11am until 10.30pm. What’s in store? An epic line up including Hilltop Hoods, Broods, Sticky Fingers, Flight Facilities, Peaches, DMA’s, Charli XCX and many more. See the full line up here and get set to buy your tickets from 9am local time on Wednesday 4 February.

Haven’t been before? Here’s what you need to take along – study up and get ready to groove!
DON’T forget your GTM ticket (and ID for 18+)
It sounds obvious but you’ll be amazed how many people forget one or both of these things.
Hydrate
No, I don’t mean alcohol. This is another obvious one and yet it’s astonishing how many people wind up being treated for dehydration in the First Aid tent. If you’re going to be drinking alcohol, rehydrate with some good old-fashioned H2O (that’s water peeps) in between drinks. There will be free water facilities on the day so you have no excuse.
Know the schedule
You don’t want to miss your favourite act. As there are multiple stages, it pays to know where you need to be and at what time. (You can’t be in two places at once unfortunately.)
Bring a bum bag/fanny pack
I know what you’re thinking… LAME! But you’re wrong. This is a music festival must-have and even Rihanna can’t get enough of this sweet 90s throwback. Bum bags keep all your essentials – money, key card, ID, house key – safe and because it is attached to your body, you can’t possibly lose it. Win-win!
BRING your phone
Not that anyone ever goes anywhere without their phone these days but it’s definitely a quintessential festival item. You WILL want to call or text your friends because you got separated from them or to tell them the set you’re watching rocks. You WILL also need to organise a lift home at the end of the night so make sure your phone is fully charged.
WITHDRAW cash beforehand
Bring enough cash with you to last for the day (but not stupid amounts). There will be ATM facilities available but you don’t want to spend an hour of your day waiting in line. Get organised in advance.
WEAR sunglasses AND sunscreen (and preferably a hat)
You are not too hipster for sunblock. Skin cancer doesn’t look cool on anyone so take my advice and Slip! Slop! Slap!
LACE UP your converse/dancing shoes
It’s a long day peeps and you’re gonna wanna get your groooove on so please DON’T wear high heels or thongs. Sneakers are the best (and comfiest) option.
