Canberra based blogger Gina Ciancio has been awarded the Best Australian Interior Blog at the Amara Interior Awards in London this morning for her blog stylecurator.com.au.

The AMARA Interior Blog Awards celebrates and engages with the most authoritative and well-respected bloggers in the vast interior blogging industry.

“It’s such a crazy, rewarding and million other amazing feelings all rolled into one to win this award,” says Gina. “It was two years ago when I had just started the blog that I discovered a UK AMARA award winner and I recall being inspired by her gorgeous blog and the diverse work she was doing as a result, but also feeling a sense of surety about it all, like I finally found my path.”

Stylecurator.com.au is a blog about the pursuit of a stylish home where Gina shares her love of interior design and decorating, renovation and home improvement tips, insights form experts and tours of beautiful homes.

After receiving a nomination three months ago, Style Curator was among 586 nominated blogs before being shortlisted to the top five in the Australian Interiors category.

Over 35,000 votes were cast before taking out the gong at the prestigious awards ceremony this morning, being recognised by the expert judging panel which consists of members of leading organisations and established figures.

“Since I started Style Curator, there has been a lot of hard work, late nights and a steep learning curve into website creation, search engine optimisation and the like, but it’s been the most personally fulfilling time of my life.”

Style Curator gives editor Gina a voice to share the work of talented makers and designers like local furniture maker Tom Skeehan, textile designer Claudia Owen, ceramicist Brian Tunks of Bison and artist Luke Chiswell, just to name a few.

“As Canberra Design month kicks off next week, I’m excited to share even more incredible local talent and this energetic side of the city to my global audience.”
