There’s a lot happening in NewActon.
It started with the transformation of the beloved Hotel Hotel into Ovolo Nishi, continued with the news that the XO team were reinventing A.Baker into daytime dining spot, Morning Glory, and now there’s more movement at the station.
In breaking news, revealed on the NewActon Precinct Facebook page last night, Sean McConnell is leaving Monster kitchen and bar. Sean and his wife Jenny are taking over the space formerly occupied by TwentyOne Cafe to open ‘Rebel Rebel’. It will feature “all-day-dining seven days a week, a wine bar, and bottle shop”.

Sean’s food has come to define NewActon’s dining scene—having presided over the menu at both Mocan and Green Grout and Monster over the past few years. We eagerly await the latest incarnation.
