Lock, stock and barrel of laughs

Everything is better with a glass of wine.
As if you needed another reason for a good drop of wine on a summer Sunday afternoon, comedy event Grapes of Mirth is bringing barrels of laughter to Canberra.
Hosted by Pialligo Estate on Sunday 2 December, the line-up will feature host and founder of Grapes of Mirth Merrick Watts as well as fellow comedians Dave Hughes, Rhys Nicholson, Dilruk Jayasinha and Anne Edmonds of Have You Been Paying Attention?, host of The Great Australian Bake Off Mel Buttle and The Project’s Lehmo.

Why not take the afternoon to sit back and enjoy Pialligo Estate’s garden pavilions, olive grove, vineyard and orchard while watching the laughs, and treat your taste buds to a tantalising range of wine and smokehouse products?
Since its inaugural event in February 2017, Grapes of Mirth has sold out three events—proving red wine and charcuterie aren’t the only perfect wine pairing. Founder Merrick believes shared experiences are made better with a good drop, and Grapes of Mirth stems from his idea of connecting wine, conversation and laughter.
