The Geek Markets is making its return to EPIC for the second year in a row—and everyone’s invited.
Taking place across Saturday 2 April, there will be stalls, special guests, and a wonderful opportunity to support Lifeline Canberra—and well and truly make for a great family-friendly outing.
Here are our top five reasons to make your way to the Geek Markets!
The Geek Markets will be supporting our beloved Lifeline Canberra
Canberrans were crushed when Lifeline Canberra’s adored annual bookfair was cancelled earlier this year—but thank the heavens, we’ll still be able to get our fix of Lifeline fundraising at EPIC.
The good folk at the Geek Markets have reserved a space for all the favourites from the Lifeline Bookfair, and organisers will be taking donations at the door. There’s even an opportunity to win a car!
There’s allll the goodies up for grabs
Over 80 traders will be offering their best geeky goods—from artwork by local artists, board games, clothing and books, to the more collectable items in retro video games, toys, and comics—there really will be something for everyone to marvel over (pun intended). There’ll also be gaming competitions and some special guests…

The very convincing Thor of Oz will be gracing Geek Markets with his godly presence so be ready for all the Marvel geeking out you can muster.
If he’s not quite up your street, there’ll be Canberra’s Spider-Man and Banshee there, ready and waiting to impress you with their masterful cosplay.
