Planning for a cosy day inside? We have you covered with our top picks for TV shows you can binge!
Kevin Can Go F Himself (ABC iView)
If you enjoy shows like Dead to Me, Killing Eve, or Schitt’s Creek, we suggest Kevin can go F**k Himself. This dark comedy series centres around the story of Allison McRoberts, a stereotypical sitcom wife who is married to Kevin, an insensitive, lazy, man-child. After an unpleasant discovery, you’ll watch as Allison’s less-than-conventional attempts to break free from her life and take control of her fate.
Selling Sunset (Netflix)
Love reality shows like The Kardashians, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, or Bling Empire and looking for your next drama-filled reality TV? Selling Sunset is the show for you! Centred around a real estate brokerage in Los Angeles that specialises in luxury homes, you’ll watch as Jason, Brett, and their team of highly competitive agents, navigate a high-tension, drama-filled working environment, with some houses being sold along the way.
Fubar (Netflix)
Another suggestion for any Killing Eve lovers, this action-comedy series starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, centres around a retired CIA operative who is forced to go back into the field for one last job after discovering a hidden family secret. With an unconventional family dynamic set against a global backdrop of spies, you’re in for a fantastically comical series.
Abbot Elementary (Disney Plus)
A fan of The Office or Parks and Recreation? So are we! Quinta Brunson’s Abbot Elementary mockumentary is a satirical, comedy series, that covers the tribes and tribulations of the American public schooling system. Think: an out-of-touch principal and passionate teachers, who do everything they can for their students, despite the difficulties they face from the school district and the challenges of working in one of the worst underprivileged schools in Philadelphia. All things considered, the unconventional, and at times, inconvenient, happenings of the school make for a fantastic, light-hearted, and comedic series.
Succession (Binge)
If you enjoy shows like “Arrested Development”, then the dark-comedy drama series “Succession” is for you. The series centres around the Roy family, owners of a New York media and entertainment organisation, and their fight for control over the company as the family’s patriarch’s health grows increasingly uncertain. The comedic timing of the show, along with a hand-held camera-documentary style of filming, gives the series a unique personality that is unlike any other drama series.
