Local teas to warm you up when the weather turns

Posted on

These are some tea-rrific local businesses to support.

There’s nothing like a hot cup of tea on a cold day – and as the autumn weather begins to set in and the temperature drops, our minds are starting to look for excuses to make a cuppa, grab a blanket, and curl up with a good book. So, we thought we would spill the tea on some local producers that are keeping us warm.

AIKICHA

Specialising in hand-blended loose-leaf teas inspired by musical theatre (think Bohemian Raspberry!, Priscilla: Queen of the Desert Blooms, Brew-meo & Juliet, M’oolong Rouge! and Madama Butterfly Pea), AIKICHA is a local business that launched in 2023 by Aiki Choh (you might have spotted her at the Little Burley and Haig Park Village Markets).

Not only will you find some scrumptious blends at AIKICHA but with the launch of their new Canberra-inspired tea – A Very Canberra Cuppa, a blend of native lemon myrtle, cinnamon myrtle, lemon tea tree, rooibos tea, coconut, honeybush tea, rose and marigold – sipping on a cup during a cool autumn day sounds like the perfect ode to the city.
