Five places to find real Christmas trees in Canberra

It’s officially December and you know what that means – it’s time to put up the Christmas tree.
That is, if you haven’t already. And because there’s nothing like the scent of pine to get you into the Christmas spirit, we’ve found five places in and around Canberra where you can find a real tree.

Santa’s Shaped Christmas Trees
Providing pruned and shaped Christmas Trees to the Canberra region for over 20 years, you can’t go past Santa’s Shaped Christmas Trees. Open Thursday to Sunday in Gundaroo – where you can pick your very own tree from the pine rows – this year you’ll also be able to find them at them at Dairy Road in Fyshwick every Friday to Sunday.
Also popping up at local markets every weekend until Christmas, trust us when we say a tree from here will outdo any brought from the supermarket.

Wallaroo Road Christmas Trees
Just outside Hall, you’ll find Wallaroo Road Christmas Trees, growers of more bespoke trees. Selling every kind of tree you can think of – from perky to quirky – they promise that you’ll be sure to find one that you love.
Open on weekends across December or by appointment during the week, take a road trip to enjoy the experience of choosing your own Christmas tree straight from the paddock.

Christmas Tree Keng
As one of the closest Christmas tree farms to Canberra’s CBD, Christmas Tree Keng has been providing the Canberran region quality pines since 1987.
Growing Pinus radiata var Don or Monterey pines – which are known as top grade Christmas tress – you can choose, cut and take away your own tree for just $100.

RSPCA ACT
Branch out this Christmas and purchase a pine with a purpose. RSPCA ACT is once again selling real Christmas trees out of their shelter in Weston, where trees purchased will help abandoned, neglected, and surrendered animals in their care.
