Have a little K-Pop fan in your life? Marketplace Gungahlin is the place to be these school holidays

Posted on

Things are looking golden in Gungahlin this July as Marketplace Gungahlin launches free K-Pop activations just in time for the school holidays.

Transforming into a vibrant stage for the Mini K-Pop Heroes event, the interactive experience is running from Saturday 4 until Sunday 19 July. It’s the perfect excuse to escape the winter chill, grab a warm drink, and let the little ones channel their inner idol.

Did we mention they’re free?

Split into two distinct, imaginative zones designed to keep young minds and bodies active, the experience offers plenty for families to explore. Parents looking to kickstart their mornings can head over to the area outside Big W, where the K-Pop Gear Workshop will operate daily between 10 am and 1 pm.

Children can dive into hands-on crafting by designing custom potion soda POP, creating phantom-busting light sticks, assembling enchanted charm photo frames, and bedazzling their own microphones. Blending creativity with tactile play, it gives kids a chance to craft their own unique idol gear before they take on the world. Book them a spot here so they don’t miss out.

Once the afternoon rolls around, the excitement moves upstairs to Level 1, right next to Sushi Hub.

From 1 pm to 4 pm daily, the Golden Stage comes alive to help kids train as true K-Pop warriors. This zone features a Glam & Gear Styling Zone alongside a Battle-Glam Glitter Bar to ensure every participant gets completely stage-ready – just like Huntr/x and the Saja Boys.

And after experiencing the interactive Spotlight Stage, children will even walk away with exclusive take-home hero loot, including superstar sunglasses and neon power bracelets. Just make sure to book ahead – there will be lots of K-Pop fans waiting to shine.

And that’s just the beginning.

Beyond the free daily entertainment, Marketplace Gungahlin is also introducing a winter iteration of a certified local favourite: the K-Pop Hunter Fun Pass.

Priced at $40, the pass offers over $85 in value, making it an excellent option for families looking to make the most of a full day out. As well as including a free K-Pop Demon Hunter Gift from Big W and a $25 Good Games Voucher, the K-Pop Hunter Fun Pass also has lunch sorted with a $20 Seoul Soban lunch voucher, free Yaya Chips from Zeus Street Greek, and a limited-edition Kid Cup with juice from Top Juice. And for the adults a complimentary small coffee from The Coffee Club and free parking will be sure to bring a smile to the face.

The K-Pop Hunter Fun Pass is available for purchase until Sunday 12 July (or until they sell out), with a strict limit of 70 available. Order yours here before they’re gone.

Take the kids to Seoul without leaving the northside!
