You’ve probably heard of BOUNCE – Belconnen’s massive indoor trampoline playground – but did you know that BOUNCE Basketball is a thing? With full-height basketball rings above runway trampolines surrounded by padded walls and floor mats, you can challenge some friends to the ultimate game that will feel like borrowing the legs of the world’s best basketballer. And if that’s not enough, you can also book yourself in to play some dodgeball – perfect for a fun group activity that will get heart rates up.

Pilates at Strong Pilates

For those looking for something a little different to their usual reformer classes, Strong Pilates offers a unique experience that fuses Pilates, cardio and strength into one killer workout. Low impact and high intensity, you’ll use the custom built Rowformer (think a rowing machine and Pilates reformer in one) and RIDE Machines for a class that focuses on strength training through Pilates-inspired movements, giving you a full body burn. It’s perfect for both gym bunnies and Pilates princesses!

Bouldering at BlocHaus

Have no idea what bouldering is? Welcome to your new obsession – think rock climbing, but with shorter walls and padded mats, so there’s no need for ropes, partners, or other gear. With two locations in Canberra (Mitchell and Fyshwick), this is a fun and challenging way to build both your physical and mental strength. Designed for all fitness levels, across the two facilities, you’ll also find a dedicated parkour area, fitness training areas, specialised climbing training, slacklines, yoga rooms, table tennis, in-house coffee and more!

Bikram Yoga at Bikram Yoga Canberra

This is one way to escape the winter chill. Consider this your sign to try the OG hot yoga – Bikram Yoga. A unique sequence of 26 postures and two breathing exercises practiced in a heated room of 38 degrees with 40 per cent humidity for 90 minutes, the concept is to work every muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, internal organ and gland in a specific order, while moving fresh oxygenated blood to the body. Building strength, flexibility and balance, you’ll be surprised at how much you sweat and how good you feel afterwards!
