The Canberra Racquet Club is turning one with DJs, pizza and all-night padel and pickleball
Posted on
Has it already been a whole year since Canberra Racquet Club brought us its premier pickleball and padel facility? Time really does fly when you’re having fun.
The Canberra Racquet Club shook up the recreational sports scene when it opened in Fyshwick during 2025, bringing a different kind of power play to Canberra with a 4,000-square-metre complex.
Boasting six padel courts and four pickleball courts, the purpose-built playground has become one of Canberra’s fastest-growing social sporting communities, bringing together people through padel, pickleball, events and social experiences.

Now, the Canberra Racquet Club is celebrating its first birthday – and for one night only, the party will be on them.
From 6 pm on Friday 26 June, the venue will be coming to life with food, music and sport, throwing open its doors to welcome new faces into the community by keeping the courts open until late for social pickleball and padel games.
There will be no scoreboard, no pressure, and participation will be completely free.
You read that right.
Ideal for first timers (or anyone who has questionable hand-eye coordination), you can take a friend, make some new ones or watch from the sideline to see what the pickleball and padel hype is about.

What’s a party without food and music? Local pizza will also be served on site all night to keep players fuelled while they test their skills. And yes, before you ask, there will be birthday cake.
To add to the atmosphere, DJs will be spinning sets from 6 pm and – if that’s not enough – there will also be giveaways throughout the night.
Long story short? You’ll probably stay a lot longer than you planned.
Entry is free but you need to register. You don’t need a membership, or any prior knowledge of what padel and pickleball actually are – you just need to show up and enjoy.
With only 400 registration spots available, this is a premium playing experience like you’ve never seen before. Secure your spot here and round up your favourite people for a relaxed, high-vibe Friday night out.
