Emma is usually behind the coffee machine at a family-run cafe but in her spare time, she can be found on the other side of the bar taste testing the Canberra food table. Her passion for food grew at a young age around her grandmother's kitchen bench. Her interests intensified as she entered the hospitality industry as a dishie at age 14 where she would try to replicate what the chefs did when she got home. Combining her current study in media communications and international relations, Emma hopes to share the latent narratives of the Canberra food scene.
