Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus brings her story to Canberra
Posted on
Four-time Olympic gold medallist Ariarne Titmus will visit Canberra on Friday 13 November to share the story behind her extraordinary swimming career and her decision to walk away at the top, retiring last year at just 25 years of age.
Ariarne will be in conversation with HerCanberra’s Emma Macdonald at Verity Lane Market to discuss her new memoir, Relentless, and the triumphs, sacrifices and choices that shaped her life beyond the pool.
From her childhood in Tasmania to Olympic glory, Titmus became one of Australia’s most celebrated athletes, known for her fierce determination and headline-making rivalry with American swimming great Katie Ledecky.

Now, just over a year after announcing her retirement, she is sharing her story: the family sacrifices, relentless training and health challenges behind the medals, and her decision to pursue a different future at just 25.
The conversation offers Canberra sports fans and readers an opportunity to hear from an Olympic champion about ambition, resilience and finding purpose beyond elite sport.
Fans will get to meet and greet with Ariarne, and she will also do book signings to celebrate the launch of her memoir this week.
