Dance the night away at Molly’s live jazz
Brush off the ‘Sunday scaries’ with a night filled with scatting, swinging and soul at Canberra’s very own Bourbon Street.
New Orleans has arrived at Molly – a hidden, 1920s-style speakeasy with a candlelit, cosy atmosphere hidden just behind a wooden door.
Luckily for us, Prohibition is over, and you can freely sip on a bourbon cocktail from the delicious NOLA-themed cocktail selection – perfectly paired with a cheese and charcuterie platter.

Wander through Winter in the Woods at the Arboretum
The National Arboretum is rugging up this winter, wrapping trees in knitted scarves and serving hot chocolates with roasted marshmallows by firelight.
Under the glowing starlight, wander through the ‘Warm Trees’ and southern forests of the Arboretum or partake in a guided tour and take in the vibrant storytelling.
Kids can enjoy nature play, art workshops and lantern making – a chance to connect with the natural environment and First Nations cultural experiences.
For every age and pace, this is the perfect winter experience to unwind, inspire and connect.

Watch Canberra’s Bravest players glide across the ice
Missing the hockey-induced thrill of binging Off Campus and Heated Rivalry? No worries, we have our very own hockey team right here in Canberra and the Canberra Brave are battling it out on the ice this August.
While it won’t be a heated rivalry – one of Australia’s most intense hockey rivalries is returning to the ice for a weekend doubleheader on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 August. After Melbourne Ice ended the Braves’ championship campaign last year, this promises to be a high-energy and intense fight for revenge on the ice, and one you don’t want to miss.

Kick your cultural slump with a night at the theatre
Sit back and watch a night of theatrics at the Canberra Repertory Society’s production of Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie.
This absurdist take on a family living during the Depression in the late 1930s is a classic story about reality and comforting illusion.
So, take a night to escape reality and support the local talent Canberra has to offer.
