The HerCanberra Ladies Night at Alliance Française French Film Festival is back!

Easier (and cheaper) than a plane ticket to Paris, our annual Ladies Night is back for another year alongside the Alliance Française French Film Festival to celebrate all things French in the luxe surrounds of Palace Electric.

And yes, there will be cheese and wine.

Taking place on Thursday 13 March from 6 pm, the event (which is always a highlight on the HerCanberra team’s calendars) will see you immersed in an evening of French culture as you enjoy delicious French delicacies and wine before settling in to watch a very special screening of a French film

Wondering what’s on the program for 2025? This year attendees will be treated to a screening of Riviera Revenge – a laugh-out-loud comedy from director Ivan Calbéra (The Tasting, AF FFF23), about vengeance, French Riviera-style.

Named one of the best French comedies in recent years, Riviera Revenge tells the story of retired military man François Marsault (André Dussollier, Everything Went Fine, AF FFF22) and his wife Annie (Sabine Azéma), his wife of 50 years. But when François discovers a stack of love letters revealing his wife’s affair from 40 years ago, he has to make a choice: does he turn the other cheek and let bygones be bygones? Or does he sharpen his wits and call in favours to track down the man who humiliated him?

You’ll have to buy a ticket to see what happens next.

Proving you’re never too old for crazy acts of love – or payback – it’s the perfect excuse to grab your friends for a fun, French-themed night out.

There are limited tickets available, and at $42 ($37 for Alliance Française and Palace Movie Club members), they’re selling out fast.
