She’s conquered France as a TV host and style icon and now has her sights set on the upcoming 2022 Presidential campaign.

After sell-out shows at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2018, Fanny Bouffante is coming to Smith’s Alternative this Thursday 2 May with her newest show, ‘Scandals’.

We caught up with Fanny ahead of Thursday to chat Pauline Hanson, Clive Palmer and hot butts.

Fanny, we hear you’ve got some big news about your next political move…?

Oui! A lot of Australians know me from my cutting edge book French Women Do Everything Better which I promoted here last year. I turned many Australian bogans into beaux gens. But now I am running for President of the French Republic in 2022.

Since being in Australia I have been inspired to create ‘cutting edge’ new policies like mandatory detention for anyone who wears activewear to the supermarket – this is an Australian habit that is so disgusting for me! (Along with the women walking in the night with high heels in hand – nude feet is so shocking for me). I am also going to outlaw flip flops – except for the beach.

A lot has been said recently about my hot butt. Can they take DNA from my butt? You know, swab my butt for DNA? It is true, I was recently smoking in Notre Dame, there are pictures, but they can prove nothing!

Why do you think Canberran audiences will love Scandals?

Well, everyone loves Fanny. Don’t they? In my show I talk about how your little Prime Minister Scott Morrison invited me to speak in tongues (and here I was thinking he was a family man!), I also talk about the fashion advice I gave Pauline Hanson – oh mon dieu, she really is a bogan who needs to be transformed en beaux gens! And how I put Clive Palmer on Fanny’s special ‘love diet’ which means he can eat anything at all – except carbohydrates.

Who do you look to for inspiration (in life, politics, fashion…)?

To be frank, I look in the mirror for inspiration. I constantly amaze myself with what I can do. I have created some wonderful fashions from the one-legged jeans to my oyster lingerie range, I host the highest rating tv show in Europe “Cutting Edge” and now I am set to become the world’s most beautiful world leader.

You’re a well-known French style icon, what is your beauty routine?

Well, I wake up at 6 am and make love for two hours. Then I get up and have a black coffee in a big bowl with a freshly baked chocolate croissant delivered by my Romanian housemaid, Therese. Then I make love again for 15 minutes (cardio session). I find this means I do not need much makeup because all the loving gives my skin a special glow. So I just use Fanny Bouffante’s special moisturiser (made from frog scrotum) and I put on some of Fanny Bouffante’s FrenchKiss Rouge lipstick.
